No one is talking about the trends...

Yes, I know they are just trends but isn't this why we have this board?
Kicks bounced back. Eagle still on the rise with Southside Steve. Project holding steady. 99x down 12+. The "Bull" not impressing at ALL.

Thoughts?

New trends mean one thing; Michelle Engle will change up the music at DAVE-FM.

Here's a look inside Michelle's brain - "Ratings are down, we probably aren't playing enough INXS. I mean, they were huge in 1987 so they should be big in 2007 too. Oh, don't forget, more mentions of the Police concert even though they may not be coming here. We need to get Atlanta excited about something that isn't happening. Hey, why aren't we promoting the Falcons? The season start soon and Michael Vick will take us to the promised land. Last thing, Mara Davis needs to talk less. I can't have the most popular person on the station have any personality, that doesn't make sense. Re-cap; more INXS, pop the Police and Vick (he he he, that's funny) and less Mara. Great, now time to get ready for Bonnaroo, where did I put my patchouli?"

Do you work at a stop and rob or something and type these things between slurps on your big gulp? Buy a server and put your own station on dude. Worry about the royalties later.

With Viva and 99X in the tank, I wonder if Viva will switch with El Patron or flip and 99X might possibly flip? After my visit to Salt Lake City and Seattle last month, I really enjoyed the Rhythmic AC format on Movin 100.7 in Salt Lake City and Movin 92.5 in Seattle. Both stations play "music that makes you feel good." It was a blend of 90s and current pop/dance. It sounded good. Any chance we might get this soon here in Atlanta?

MOVIN" in Seattle is the only Rhythmic AC doing good so far, some are doing very poorly, the one in Los Angeles being the most high profile failure. Unless this changes I would be surprised if any stations switch to Rhythmic AC.

The biggest format hole in Atlanta would be an AC competitor for WSB-FM.

I can get WLTM all the way up to Suwanee but for some reason hardly anyone made the change to the new frequency.

I'm trending to ipod. Thanks for the pandora.com suggestion it was a good one.

Why don't you just program The Beat, Q100, Star 94, Hot 107.5 and V103 into your car radio and hit scan all day?
