No PRO FM Jingle Ball this year

Checking the website it does not appear they are trying it this year.Wasn't last year the one that had to be cancelled for whatever reasons?I did notice Fun 107 is having one but sometimes I have to wonder if the sole reason for PRO FM's existence is to protect Hot 106 in Providence and Fun 107 in Bristol County.I also noticed on the 92profm website that the staff seems to be in place 24/7 as Ashley Taylor is now listed as the overnight dj and because it's probably part time with no benes and voicetracked I won't comment on that.

No... Fun 107 isn't having one. Just sending ONE winner and a guest to Jingle Ball at MSG in NYC. That would be Z100's Jingle Ball.

Maybe the Pro-FM "Fugitive" stole the $10,000 that the station would have used to put the show on.

92 PRO-FM hasn't had a Jingle Mingle in 2 (maybe 3) years because they have ticked off all the arenas and artists with the way they manage things---which is poorly.

Don't expect anything coming up soon as in concert wise from 92 PRO-FM

And I bet the ones who manage these things poorly still get to keep on managing. I swear if they made a sitcom out of any Providence station it would have to be PRO-FM.

ya..when i was at Q105 we sent one listener to Kiss 108's jingle ball.

i haven't paid attention to the last few years...but i went to one about 3 years ago..there were alot of empty seats..but the show was good..destiny's child kicked ass...mariah lipsynched (shocker), shaggy was a replica of R Kelly grindin all around the stage...it was fun though...

I didn't go far enough into Fun's website to realize that.As far as other comments on PRO-FM's alienating artists,etc I have to say I think sooner or later the bomb is going to drop at that station.They are a microcosym of the RI mentality with a group of mainly locals thinking life will always go on as it has in the past.When the changes come,as they will,there will be crying,finger pointing,etc.I'm surprised no one there has taken the initiative to just get another job.There may be no super talents there but other than Giovanni they could all move out of the market for marginally better jobs.Gio probably could but only as a team with Kim.
