Looks like the ratings organization has left Meridian, and now Starkville.

When did they leave Meridian?

I believe Arbitron has been out of Meridian for a couple of years now. No one subscribes and really I don't blame them. It's largely useless in a place like Meridian. No local buyers care about the ratings, all they care about are what music the station plays and who's selling the ads and who owns the stations. That's it. It's all about a name and association.

The new system where Arbitron won't even show the "public" 12+ ratings to me undermines their chokehold on the industry as the athority as it's only ratings service. I think they are making a mistake. I can appriciate witholding info on other demos, but their data is close to worthless without a basic snapshot of the overall audience of ALL stations.

You do realize that Arbitron doesn't rate markets where they have no subscribers, right? They also don't show numbers for stations whose companies don't subscribe. Also they are far from the only ratings service out there. They're probably also the most inaccurate.

And as I mentioned above, in small markets Arbitron is useless except to the agencies. For the locals buyers, ratings mean little if anything at all.
