No Rudolph for CBS All Access

Just got a text from a cord cutting friend who watches live CBS via All Access.....Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer is being blacked out on the live CBS Stream (and is not available from them on Demand which is most likely the reason) So, Heads up West Coast!

Perhaps because they don't have a contract with ClassicMedia for on-demand content? I wonder if Frosty was also blacked out on Friday last week.
Oh well. I still watch it every year. I could probably recite many lines in my sleep. 'A....DENTIST?!'

What's the problem with live with an antenna?

This is why I have the DVDs instead of watching it on live TV. No commercials or annoying ads during the movies. I just wanna see the movie.

Rudolph

The show is on YouTube for viewing year round, even during any heat wave in the summer. It makes my nose shine red.

I've got three old TV recordings of Rudolph on tape - 1988, 1989 and 1993. The first two have Rudolph & Hermey's song 'Fame & Fortune' on them, which has not been aired for over 20 years. 'We're A Couple of Misfits' replaced it on later broadcasts. And the film was still grainy in those days because it was long before digital remasters.
I have found Frosty broadcasts going back to 1984 (on a Beta tape).

I still enjoy Rudolph after all these years .Love Rankin Bass stop motion anime ...I agree with other posts .Got YouTube and other video sites for free and its on DVD too.No commercials and weather related school cancellations scroll at the bottom of screen to deal with......................

Happy Holidays.................................................................

CBS "most access" not carrying Rudolph, what is this world coming too?????
That, in and of itself, would be reason for me not to subscribe......

And the only reason the misfit toys existed in the first place is because both NBC and the Sponsor, GE rejected the first Half-Hour script, insisting on an hour-long story!

And at first the Misfit Toys were completely forgotten, at least in '64. The final scene was Yukon and the peppermint mine which hasn't been seen in 40 years. I don't even know if there's a video on YouTube. A lot of upset children and parents. My mother (as a little girl) included in those. She actually watched the first broadcast.
Thankfully in 1965, the final scene we all know nowadays was added. Where the Misfits are crying at the fire, and then hear Santa's sleigh.
