No School Foster Glouster

Are you kidding me? No School announcements in June.I went to school in these buildings in 80's.In 90 degree weather.

Back in the 80's we would just take nice days off. But now schools will give you nice days off. Maybe they figure that nobody will show up anyway...LOL. But honestly this is some crazy heat outside. Maybe they want to save money on Air Conditioning.

Save money on Air Conditioning? Half the schools don't have air conditioning. Thats why they're sending home, a lot of the older schools aren't able to handle the heat, with the size of classrooms these days, packing 30 kids into a classroom without AC means temps get up over 100.

I assumed by now that most schools would have air conditioning. My elementary school didn't, but I know that my Jr High and my High School did. Then again my High school had a pool too. Oh well... perhaps I assumed wrong. But don't you think in the year 2008 all schools should have A/C by now? Am I crazy for thinking that?

Newer scools, yeah. A lot of the older schools are out of luck though.

And they teach spelling different too.....lol

Don't feel bad about the 'scool' oopsie...that's old hat in the suburbs south of Boston where, back in the 80s, there was an actual sign by a school that said SCOOL CROSSING - think it was in the Nahant area.
