Well thank goodness no one went all old school or "flipped to country" yesterday....at least where I live. What happened last year was a bit funny though..
 
Pulse 87 played Russian music... then a caller (probably staged) called in and said "i dont understand the words of the music youre playing" ..the DJ (Lil Cee) said "Pulse 87 has flipped to a Russian station, youre stuck with that Disco station now"...then he said April Fools! We wouldnt take away these beats in New York City... or something like that...
 
Id hate to deal with the ticked off Russians calling in..Of course Russia has a few dance stations too. I think Radio Record in Saint Petersburg is the farthest North, and in the coldest climate of any Dance station in the world,,, Other than maybe some of the Relays for Europa Plus in Siberia towns, but its not really a Dance station, its more like z-1035,,,, probably even a bit less...
 
I can think of at least one station that acted foolish on April Fools Day but it was doing that before the 1st and it continues to.
 
Me too Alan.... BPM... Since you left... Not being a suck up,,, just a fan.. You had BPM sounding Hot.. I always thought BPM was Alan Freed, and without you it went down hill, and after the merger it really sunk down... Alan.. If you still have the means, why not bring back beat radio on some of Perhaps the Radio Disney Outlets at night... the one on 1560 in NYC has a Hella signal,,, makes it into Missourie at night, sometimes better than WCBS, WABC ETC... I would love to hear you on our local airwaves at night.. I used to sleep with a Pocket radio under my pillow at night and listen to Beat Radio fading in and out when I was younger..

Alan you inspired my buddy, me and another guy Energy 87.9 in Twin Citys to fire up our TX and give the public a dance station... You probably know about Liquid Radio 97.7 RIGHT???? I cant mention his name or location out of respect, he is a good friend and is here for me when no one else is.

Alan,, You and Maxwell House, and even Vic Latino was always nice to me on Emails and Phone Calls,,, Sky gave me a bad attitude.... like he was better than me.... HMMMPH... Yeah...Only cause of his popularity, i could program BPM better than him, and I would Bring you back Alan, if you would except, and we would once again have the hottest COM Dance station in the U.S.... Zoltar at the System, and Louis at the Move were also all very nice and respectful to me, and often times spent too much time on the phone with me.... I guess Zoltar and Louis could play whatever they wanted, cause I would request a song, and hear it played within 10-15 minutes... Area needs more interaction,, there Mixshows are good, and so are BPMS, but BPM fired some of my fav DJs....
