No Superbowl for Laredo?

Since it doesn't an ABC affiliate. Or can one of the other stations get permission to air it?. There was a story in Laredo's newspaper a few weeks ago regarding the CBS affiliate's decision to cancel its newscasts. In it the former anchor is quoted as saying "there's talk of bringing an ABC or Fox affiliate to Laredo in the next 12 to 18 months."
 
Laredo has ABC on cable via San Antonio's KSAT. As far as the CBS station canceling it's newscasts, it's probably a good idea. How can you compete with a station who's weathercaster is nicknamed "Heatwave"????
