No swap for WRR

Would be nice if this is the last we hear of the issue.....

It won't. We'll be back to this discussion in the next three to five years.

Demographic shifts and evolving listener preferences will eventually force a change on 101.1.

True this issue will come up again then, and once more shot down as it has been. Its nice to see common sense prevailed with Council members. The "advisors/consultants" were looking to line their own pockets, and KVTT will have to look elsewhere to "shiest" someone else in the name of all that is holy.

WRR will not change formats as long as Dallas owns it. Period. I don't care what the demographic shifts are. The political will to keep that station with classical music has not wavered over the past two decades that talk like this has gone on.

The real problem with WRR is that it is under constant threat of another possible sale or swap. Advertisers run for the hills with talk like that. The city could make quite a bit of money if they had someone there who knew how to sell and let the advertisers know that it won't be moving or changing formats.
