No WGY Christmas show this year

For the past 40 years some oldtimer hosted a local originated show interviewing local "celebrities" (like there are any in Albany) and the Diocese of Albany Bishop. Its been nothing but repititious music for the past 24 hours.Who is this guy Manheim Speed Wagon doing the intro's anyway??

Had you bothered to twist the radio dial, you would have found the "old guy" and the 28th Annual Christmas show on Talk1300 WGDJ - it aired both Christams Eve and Christmas Day.

THANK-YOU PAUL! (Vandenburgh once again demonstrating HOW to be a LOCAL talk radio station!)

Glad to know the show still lives but 1300 is not listenable in pokey old Delaware County. :'( Sorry I missed it.

They stream.

Hey Paul, maybe you should upload that show to iTunes, promote the heck out of it and open up a new revenue stream (FYI, You need to have Dicker's shows up there too, he does national quality political interviews, he could develop quite a following. If I were you I'd have at least sponsored podcasts up on your site - which creams WROW's (they have less content on the Web than they do on the air) and WGY's which is next to impossible to navigate (like all CC sites).

I tried to listen to some of that annual Christmas Show. The host was interviewing a WXXA newscaster. The problem was the audio sounded like it was recorded in a empty hallway. You think after doing a show for 28 years they would do it right.

Just for the record, the "old guy's" name is Jack Keenan.

Who cares about some "old guy" when we've got a young guy named Don Weeks!! May God also bless Paul Swartz(Cassidy's) family this time of year!
