Noisy motors - Lubrication issues/questions

The PR&E Tomcat cart machines were the summum bonum of cart machines. And, timing errors aside (you'll never get rid of them using an endless loop which has to slide over itself in an NAB style package) they were some of the finest analog tape recorder players ever made. One thing they weren't was inexpensive - I think the last R/P ones we got ran around $6 Large.
