NOLA trends out

Looks like the pretenders and contenders are all falling back into the order where we're used to seeing them. Especially noteworthy is that DIVA has leapfrogged over TIX-FM, separating a station that's trying from one lying moldy in the trashcan where it belongs.

I just wonder where WWL-FM fits into this, as WWL is listed once, and then as WWL-AM only.

That doesn't bode well for THE BIG 87-DEEEEEE that it takes two stations combined to come in at #2. Maybe, just maybe, they're internally financially overblown and vulnerable to a competitor like WRNO right about now. If 'RNO split the audience in half you'd see people from THE BIG 87-DEEEEE jumping out of windows. Remember, you don't have to be #1...all you have to do is split your competitor's audience to the point where they can't pull in the revenue they're used to in order to play bloated salaries to way over-valued alleged "talent".

Just my $0.02.

Oops, sorry for the mispronunciation...I meant to spell it like their canned voice says it: The BEEEEEGGG 87-DEEEEEEEEE.

SPLIT THE AUDIENCE!?!?!?
Are you kidding?
Huh? ???
Sooooooo, let me get this straight, after dominating the market via hurricane coverage post Katrina, getting national attention, being spotlighted just yesterday in Spike Lee's doc, The Discovery Times doc, Cnn, NBC, and Spud and Robinette broadcasting to the nation live on CSPAN, Garland on the cover of every magazine you can find and looking like Superman on Gambit's... and having an 85 year old brand awareness, WRNO is gonna take HALF their audience with 3 WWL rejects and a lawyer who can't even get 10% of the vote???
HALF?
Man, I didn't even know peyote grew around here!
Snap out of it. Here's the easiest prediction I've ever made... in WRNO's last book as a newstalker (if it ever happens,) this will be their 5th book at most, they'll post a whoppin' 1.4, forcing many local "suit's," out the door on Howard Ave.

No peyote here, maybe just the warm smell of colitas rising up thru the air... :)

No, actually what I meant was not really split the audience in half (note that I didn't say "in half"), but even if RNO went talk and got a 3 from the news talk audience, that would likely mean that WWL would be using an AM and FM to get a 7, which would put them around #5. Nothing lasts forever.

WRNO is not going to hurt WWL, lets face it, WWL is in the limelight and EVERYONE is listening from the local to the national level.

That's the truth! ;D

If they don't flip, does that also mean Clear Channel intentionally lied to the Times Picayune? ???
