Let's get behind the Macon legends so that next year's awards are not all-Atlanta.
Suggestions: Bill Powell, Bill Elder, Don King, Hamp Swain, Satellite Papa, Jim Lee, Terry Taylor, Bob Sagese, Oscar Leverette, Fred Newton,
Ben Porter

Let's get behind all the unsung heros at stations in Valdosta, Albany, Statesboro, Columbus, Rome, Athens, Dublin, Bainbridge, Moultrie, Dalton, Savannah, Augusta, Columbus and everywhere in between. Mr Sandifer is right, there are a lot of radio station in Georgia and if just one person from all those stations cast votes, there would be a good cross section of the state represented. I don't think the folks at the GRHOF want it to be only about Atlanta.

Don't forget the engineers....Stubby Wilder, Max Harper, Billy Sowell, etc.

Hey, anybody know where that old photo of Don King (WBML) broadcasting from a "treehouse" on top of a pole down on Pio Nono (about where Arby's is now located), wound up? It was in the 50's, when that area was nothing but a 50-foot mound of Georgia Red Clay.

Lacy Worrell, John Timms and George Rankin can be added to that list.

E. Larry McDuffie of 1230 WSOK who has been a benchmark in Savannah radio for more than 25 years. It's a no-brainer.

I just got one of Stubby's old W4LXE QSL cards today, from a card collector in Ohio. The date, 20-Nov-1949.

Aren't there a lot of names on Lyndy's website, too?
