Non-Christian religious formats?

Are there any stations that are programmed in a non-Christian religious format (Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, etc...)

Just curious....

There are in some major markets with the listener-base to support it.

I know that there's a Jewish station that signed on in the last year somewhere. Read about it on allaccess.

I believe WJVJ, a LPFM in the Wheeling WVA market is Jewish. The manager is Rabbi Bryan French, who is a very amiable fellow.

WVJW is found online at http://www.wvjw.info/ . They were forced to drop their Jewish religious/educational format due to lack of financial support, and now air a blend of news/talk from Pacifica and locally programmed alternative & indie rock.

WVOY-LP FM 98.9 is a 24-hour sacred name broadcast station from Jefferson, South Carolina. Similar to Christianity, they believe in the Father and the Messiah. However, their main difference is that they address the Father by the name of Yahweh and the Messiah by the name of Yahshua. They also hold a few other doctrinal differences from Christianity such as the weekly Saturday sabbath and their observance of the Old Testament holy days. They live stream at www.yahwehsword.org.

I believe "forced" would be an awfully strong word to use. I'll admit I don't know every moment of the station's history, but I'll say that I don't know that the station ever had an actual, fulltime Jewish religious/educational format. As a matter of fact, the station's owner appears to be its owner for application and licensing purposes only, and it appears to have been a project of its manager/operator all along. The Pacifica and other far-left programming appears to be the reason for the station's existence, especially considering that the music played comes entirely from indie performers who are not under ASCAP or BMI (in other words, no matter how unknown or ridiculously bad the music is, all that matters is that the station fills the time between the shows and avoids paying anything for licensing).

Not meaning to turn this into a religious debate, but there will be psuedo-Christian cults like the Yahweh group mentioned earlier that claim to be Christian but really aren't and have radio stations (And no, I'm not counting Catholics in that group, because there are saved Catholics.). There will also be people who may be Christians but won't accept stations operated by anyone who doesn't do things "their" way even if they're truly a Christian group. In their view it wouldn't be a legitimate Christian station. How some KJV only groups treat anyone who disagrees with them would be an example of that.

I'll admit that the WVJW situation is unclear at best. Prior to sign-on, it seemed that a "Jewish" religious format was planned, but after sign-on, I'm willing to admit that I'm not convinced a great deal of effort was actually put into it.
Outside of relaying Kol Israel, there don't seem to be any sustaining satellite/network services available for this sort of station, and I get the impression that producing a 24/7 Jewish format would be quite an effort for any station, let alone an LP.

I also agree that in hindsight, the station appears to be more a creation of its operator than of a specific organization. I still think it lies within the spirit of the LPFM service, however, that someone is able to put an alternative (Pacifica) type of format on the air. Anything has to be better than M&M Community Development's "Jam Central" format, which is "Blazin Hip Hop & R'n'B" off of a hard drive all day long. I don't even mind my local affiliate of Radio 74 too much. It's a great sleep aid, at least. :)
