Non-competes

Too bad I saw this announcement in today's The Daily News about five hours after the actual seminar. The Executive Employment Law Seminar Series continued this morning. This week's topic was "Non-competes." The questions I have are I wonder if radio or television jobs were discussed and if they have the seminar recapped in any form?

Tennessee law on non-competes is really not that complicated. The only wrinkles that I know of have been some court decisions in the past couple of years invalidating non-competes for doctors and lawyers. But, those cases are based on public policy concerns for the client/patient, not for the lawyer or doctor.

Radio/TV would not be really any different than other fields. The only differences might be distance from current employers.

Executive Employment Law Seminar Series? I guess that's for non-lawyers?
