Does anyone have a favorite CHR/Pop station that plays a lot of songs that are not on the CHR/Pop charts or played on other CHR/Pop stations? They don't have to be from the U.S. either. They can be from any country.

I know of two such stations:

WIXX seems to have a bit of a rock lean... lots of Seether, Nickelback, Goo Goo Dolls, 3 Doors Down, and so on.

Sirius Hits 1 always seems to have a few songs on the playlist that aren't on the national CHR/Pop chart.
 
Most rural CHRs in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota, WDJQ/Canton OH, WHBQ/Memphis, WKRZ/Wilkes-Barre PA. WNDV/South Bend IN, KLJT/Tyler TX
 
Wait... Look at KVLY/McAllen TX - it's a mixture of pop. Latin, Alternative, and Urban!! As you can probably tell, it's on the Mexican border

I listened to KVLY station for a little bit. There was a mixshow full of hip-hop songs, reggaeton songs, and dance/pop music all played with a dance beat thumping. Then, somewhere in the middle, a Red Hot Chili Peppers song started playing. This radio station is certainly something a little different.

The AMP station plays a lot of rap songs that most CHR/Pop stations ignore. AMP even plays some older rap songs I remember listening to as a teen from artists like 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., and Fat Joe.

WKSS is another station that's a little different. This station seems to play a lot of dance music, including songs by Skrillex, Deadmau5, Avicii, and the "She Wolf" song by David Guetta and Sia.

I'm assuming, judging from most of this list, that stations in tiny markets can take much bigger musical risks, because they don't have to worry about people changing the station (since they are the only station in town playing current music)

I streamed Channel X-94, and heard Nicki Minaj followed by Metallica!! (And a whole lot of obscure new music)
 
If Nicki Minaj and Metallica can be played on the same radio station, then the overall music mix on that X 94 station must be really interesting. I'm listening right now. They played songs by Billy Talent, Rise Against, and Our Lady Peace earlier.

Two more stations I found: I haven't had much time to listen to these stations yet. But they seem a little different from the usual major market U.S. CHR/Pop station.

979, from San Jose, Costa Rica. Alternative lean.
KQNG, from Lihue, Hawaii. Relatively big playlist.

Yeah, yesterday I heard new tracks by Papa Roach, Yellowcard, Boys Like Girls, and Third Day (mixed in with Kesha, Nicki Minaj, and Ellie Goulding)

They had a "Top 5 at 5" request countdown - #5 was Die Young by Kesha, #4 was Madness by Muse, and #3 was an Alt/Rock track so obscure that I couldn't even figure out what it was by googling the lyrics...
