None, nothing, nada....as far ratings

We will be seeing NOTHING as far as the Fall 2011 Arbitron ratings for either Harrisburg, York, or Lancaster that were released yesterday. We've gotten used to not seeing the Cumulus stations, but these numbers will be released to subscribers only. I know Arbitron is a for-profit company with a product that is proprietary, but it just makes the radio business seem smaller when there is no public knowledge of the ratings. Now, we won't know if WROZ trumped as the only all-Christmas station in the region. Or how the WINK twins did, but we wouldn't have known that anyway. Was WGTY #1? How did the River do post-Tyler? I guess we'll never know now :)

Those of us who subscribe will know.
Thats really all that matters.

That is correct. Clear Channel likely lowered the hammer on Arbitron and said make these subscriber only after they re-upped for that huge amount of money. So this will be the norm moving forward. Get use to not knowing.

You know, you could see the ratings if you paid for them. Hall pays for them. Don't know why the bigger boys can't/won't.

Because Hall is a well run company. How many employees have they let go over the past ten years? And when they did let people go, I believe the positions were filled by other people. Can't say that for Cumulus and Clear Channel. The listeners aren't stupid.

Here's hoping GTY, the Hall stations, and Radio Hanover continue to be market leaders.
