North Carolina FM coming in in Poughkeepskie, NY

Sunday afternoon at 4pm, I'm already getting reception of WFMI-100.9 "Rejoice 100.9", from the North Carolina shore: distance of 400 miles from Poughkeepsie. We could be in store for some great FM / TV East Coast tropo tonight!

You caught the tail end of a system that brought us some great tropo and warm weather here in the northeast. Probably the last decent opening of the year as I imagine it will get cold again soon which usually means dead tropo.

Around 10pm here in the northwestern burbs of Philly I was receiving all the New York City FMs in HD with their side channels (where applicable) 107.5 WBLS HD1 & 2 knocked out the very local 107.5 WBYN from Boyertown (a non HD station), one of my strongest receivable stations, first time I have seen this. Also 100.3 WHTZ HD knocked out Philly's 100.3 The Beat (also a non HD station). Atlantic City was also coming in pretty good, none in HD though like the New York City stations.

Rick: I got WBLS HD-1 and HD-2 from Pennsauken NJ. I was mainly getting tropo from Long Island/CT all the way to Ocean City/Salisbury MD. Most of the New York fm signals were being received like locals. The strongest were 92.3/94.7/102.7/103.5/104.3/105.1/106.7/107.5. The upper parts of the fm band had the stronger tropo

Don't know if I'm dealing with tropo or what, but I'm trying to figure out where this jazz/standards is coming from on 92.1. So far no voice over, it's not the usual NPR outlets, the CBC or SRC, Montreal's Q92, nor CJAI Amherst Island ON. :-\

EDIT: Found it, not tropo, but new to me. CHOD Cornwall ON.
