North Carolina gains one, loses one

I just got a new classic country station in my area. At least during the day. It had been off the air for several months while a new tower was being built. I've heard better, but the music is pretty good. Some listeners in Charlotte can hear it. How well depends on how good the receiver is and power lines, among other things.

On the other hand, a tornado knocked another N.C. classic country station off the air, and it finally came back, but with a comedy format. It's one of about a dozen stations owned by the same company that has changed in the past several weeks. Most of those stations are in Raleigh, where this station was.

We're losing our classic country station, and I'm trying to start one. This is described in more detail on the North Florida board.
