North Shore 104.9 back to oldies/classic hits?

I just heard a song that sounds like it’s from the 60s on 104.9, followed by “Don’t You Forget About Me” by Simple Minds. I’m pretty sure it’s WBOQ but not sure. I’m in Belmont and I heard an ID but it’s not coming in that well.

No format change. AC stations play occasional '80s and '90s songs. Simple Minds "Don't Forget..." was from 1985. There was a recent song with Elton John before it that sounded old (didn't hear it), but right now Taylor Swift is on.

104.9 playlist artists earlier this hour are Miley Cyrus, REO Speedwagon (1980), Rhianna, Pink, Cranberries, Lukas Graham, Prince (1986), Imagine Dragons, Ellie Goulding, Jonas Brothers, Matchbox 20, Whit, Taylor Swift (again), Billy Joel (1980), Sia, Justin Bieber, Journey (1981).

Certainly mostly not Oldies/Classic Hits artists, typical AC format with some '80s, '90s and '00s throwbacks.

New Elton song is (I'm Gonna) Love Me Again from the biopic Rocketman.

Was in a restaurant and heard a bunch of Beatles cover songs that sounded kind of close to the originals but were clearly not.I saw the film Yesterday last week and guessed they were the versions done in the movie by the 'Jack Malik' character..after a worldwide brief power outage erases the Beatles from people's memories, one musician who still did remember the group went on to pass along their songs as his own.
Not long after the 104.9 format change I heard Tai fill in for what was then the Dana and Mugs morning show.Lots of 80s, quite a few 70s--and one Beatles late 60s entry:
Here Comes the Sun.

Isn't some of 104.9's programming satellite fed, hosted by national satellite DJ's? I know that it was after mid-days (mid-afternoon through the night) when it was Oldies/Classic Hits. In those times, though 104.9 chose which satellite format to air, the actual playlist would be from the satellite programmers.

Last I knew, nights and overnights at least were satellite. Not sure about weekends.
