Northwest Cable News...

Sad to see Northwest Cable News shutting down in about 24 hours or so. Does anyone know what Comcast will do with that coveted Ch. 2 spot?

My guesses:

- Have all public access channels move to Ch. 2. (BKAT here in Bremerton move from 12 to 2, Puget Sound Access for South King County from whatever channel it's on to Ch. 2, Seattle's Public Access to 2, etc...

- Move KTBW Ch. 20 to Ch. 2. (move it to the place where all the other locals are)

- Move CBUT to there

- Maybe an ultra-local automated channel by TEGNA, with local news, weather, etc..., tailored to whichever area of the Puget Sound you are in.

Any ideas?

Please Comcast - CBUT would be the best choice.

Kind of depends on what Tegna's contract specifies, but I like your idea. This is currently being done by KTVB Boise, also Tegna. Basically a semi-static weather satellite view, current temp, etc. Perhaps they could replay KING newscasts, but again, there may be contractural issues there.
