Norway completes transistion to all DAB...

Sad that the NRK lost 21% of its audience. But it looks like they are the ones who shot themselves in the foot.

DAB is a terrific idea. But it's not necessarily a smart thing to eliminate all FM in a mountainous, extensive country like Norway. They were smart enough to keep Longwave on in the far north, for the mariners and oil riggers. One would think they could have kept FM on in certain difficult places for those who don't have a DAB radio. Although the country is arguably the wealthiest in the world, not all Norwegians are soaking rich. DAB radios are apparently somewhere around $200 a pop.
