Where in the move-in timeline do we stand? I thought we'd been told around Labor Day. How is this one flying ever so nicely under the gossip radar? Any chance our beloved 'nati will start Movin' this weekend?

I find the use of that analogy most repugnant considering the tragedy in Lexington this past Sunday.

Yeah, they (Radio One /WIZF) distributed flyers during several events, in early summer, announcing (+ format teasing) regarding the new 100.3 to be "on-air" around Labor Day.
Are we getting close or did the date shift?
Hmmm?

WIFE is still broadcasting on 100.3 from Connersville. They only refer to the FM during the top of the hour ID. I'd say by the end of the week before the switch is flipped.

OK...Labor Day has come and gone and it sounds like WIFE is still on the air from Indiana. Any word on a flip date or will we just be surprised one morning and find the new station on the air?

I heard from someone who lives with someone who works there that they were looking at a end-of-year date.

That gossipy enough for you dawgs?

I was expecting them to be on the air already too. I guess it was pushed back for some technical reason. I'm sure there will be on air testing for a few days prior to the format launch.

Not certain if anyone has noticed but on the drive home this evening 100.3 in Norwood was testing with adult R&B music. Even heard a cutoff sweeper "The New Mo......" - obviously The New Mojo 100.3. Signal was spotty in central Butler county....mostly due to the interference from WIFE which is still booming in Connersville IN.

I also heard 100.3 on the air testing. I can only get the station using a roof antenna. I can't get it using a portable walkman in Northern KY. Even so,100.3 should have a pretty good signal once WIFE shuts off. Their new signal won't be as strong as Mojo 94.9 from the Star tower.

It'll be interesting whether R1 will be able to maintain the success Mojo 94.9 currently has.

I think 94.9 is the best FM signal in the market. It doesn't have the problem in the river valley of the downtown sticks and you can get it north of Richmond and south of Owenton. It's a blowtorch.
