NOT a KFRC Reunion Tomorrow Morning

Something to look forward to -
It's 96.5-FM, KOIT, not a KFRC reunion, but, still not a bad attention-getter headline to plug what's about to pop on tomorrow morning's Light Rock ratings giant.
Thursday and Friday, on the commute in, KOIT's More Music Morning Show regular Julie Shannon welcomes both Sue Hall and Bobby Ocean into the studio. While Jack Kulp and Lisa Daily take time off, KOIT's polished Programming treats us to two mornings of Shannon, Hall & Ocean kick-starting the San Francisco air waves together.
And - when you hear the music they play, you'll know this ain't your Grandma's KOIT.

Actually, KOIT hasn't been "your Grandma's KOIT" in quite some time. So unless they're gonna play Nine Inch Nails and Metallica...

Sounds like its time to launch the Christmas music.
Maybe they are already doing such. I don't listen at this time of year out of fear they must be.

yeah, isn't it?? ;) i don't think a "KFRC or NOT KFRC" reunion would be COMPLETE without him... :)

oooh oooh I Know! Kenny is already tuned in and listening to KOIT 96.5! How could he miss this one! Anyone rolling tape?

BUT!!! Is John Mack Flanagan part of the festivities? Bobby didn't mention JMF in his post, so I wonder if Kenny's listenership is a lock...?

Ohhh, Kennnnnnnnyyyyyy.... ;D

Listen, any time even JMF is IMPLIED, Kenny is GUARANTEED to be listening.... ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Jeeze, it wasn't really a reunion in the strictest sense of the word. Just Bobby and Sue. Plus, would JMF even care anymore. This industry has treated him like crap, so why even throw his name into the pot. Like all of you I LOVE JMF and Ocean and think they should all have a place on the radio dial, but really, lets not get Kenny started okay because you know what will happen.

I know what you sayin...and i've been the object of some of Kenny's rants... ;)

Many thanks to David Jackson, with the Bay Area Radio Museum back in place, Im constantly enjoying John Mack Flanagan , when he ruled the airwaves on 610! Thanks a million Dave, its like its 1978 all over again! Now if we could get JMF and Bobby Ocean on the 1260 KYA that Gary Mora owns, life would be great! Hearing John Mack Flanagan on KYA, what a Holiday gift for me. One last thing, how come 103.7 doesent go after bay Area talent, its not a bad station, great format, but its missing two things! What could that be Andreajesus? Calguy? Rickradio? The guy doing afternoon drive is terrible! Gary Mora, if you read these posts, any chance of letting Bobby Ocean and John Mack Flanagan have some airtime, maybe when Ben Fong goes on vacation!

Kenny - I'm speculating, and I haven't listened to The Band in a few weeks, but I'm almost sure the station is voice-tracked, and Clear Channel probably doesn't have any local VTers. I heard Bryan Schock on the station. He's a legendary AOR jock and program director whose been on the air mostly on the east coast and in Southern California. He's now based in San Diego at 101/KGB. As far as I know, he was never a Top 40 jock, and never had a Bay Area gig.

John Scott is tracking a weekend shift. He's local and in the building. Of course, since it's Clear Channel, it's at no extra pay...
