Not a radio concern but...

Did Fox 17 News get a new set? I flipped there just after 1 PM today and noticed a decent looking background at their current location, whether it is a backup studio or they got back into MetroCenter I do not know.

From what I was told tonight about 6, no one is still allowed into MetroCenter tonight and through the morning tomorrow. I think WZTV was forced to moved out Sunday night at 9 PM, if I remember correctly. Makes you wonder... What if Comcast trashed out in MetroCenter, so there was no
cable, about a half a dozen radio stations were off the air (like with the issues with the single Brentwood tower - NES got power back on after 4 this PM for KDF, NRQ, RLT and PLN.) I know the Fish had problems, WSM-AM. That would have left Mix and Jack (which did carry Channel 2 some this weekend) and the Crapulus clusterf which would have been humanless. Would there possibly have been a scenerio where there really was no weather info? Makes ya wonder.

I flipped Fox17 on tonight...it looks like they are using their normal set... I'm new to the area, so what does Metrocenter being evacuated have to do with WZTV? Don't they do the news from their studios on Mainstream Dr.?

Yeah...I just found that out via google maps. Sorry..I'm new to the area...I just moved here from WI in November. Makes much more sense now! They looked awfully close to the Cumberland...talk about taking a risk to bring the news!

thanks Tibbs! It really is a great place.. I'm beginning to think I'm bad luck though.. I moved here in November, and you have the coldest winter in 30 years...now the worst flood anyone can remember...whats next?

you've probably never experienced heat and humidity as is available here in July and August...something for you to look forward to..lol ;D
