The Steelers are now the best team ever. Big Ben is a tank. The Super Bowl will be historical because if we win, that is more than anybody ever and the greatest team of the Seventies till today is playing the team with the history of being the greatest ever before the Steelers rise under Nole.

I was impressed that Tomlin really seemed to learn from that first Baltimore game.

When they were down to about two minutes, and just running conservative run plays
to wind clock and get in position for the punt, I thought it was bad strategy. They really
needed to pick up a first down. If they did, the Ravens would be toast, since they were out
of time outs. Putting the ball in the air in my view was well worth the risk as opposed to giving
the ball back in decent field position with time on the clock, which is what happened that
ultimately cost them the game.

When he shocked Rex Ryan and the press by running that pass play to Antonio Brown,
it was clear Tomlin had come to the same conclusion. Guess we should thank Joe Flacco
for getting us to Super Bowl XLV.

The Steelers already have more Super Bowl wins than anyone else: Six, with Dallas and San Francisco tied at five. So a win will increase our lead to two.

But here's the question- is it more impressive that the Steelers have the most Super Bowl titles or is it more impressive that the Packers have the most NFL titles, 12?

No contest. The quality of play in the days when the Packers won their titles was just this side of Red Grange and Bronco Nagurski.

There were fewer teams and the talent was not as diluted. However, players today are bigger and stronger. Lombardi (as I remember him) was kinda a Rex Ryan type combined with Hank Stram and Tom Coughlin. The Steelers did it with flair and a respect for the players as adults. Gimme guys like Troy, Franco, Mean Joe, Frenchy, and all the rest. The Steelers are just plain cooler than any other team ever except maybe the 85 Bears who could not sustain anything or Madden's Raiders with Freddy Bilitnikov smoking and sitting on his helmet.
