New show, "Conviction" debuted last night.

Stayed up a little extra late for it.

Shouldn't have.

As a pilot, it might have been better if they hadn't tried
to introduce about 1/3 the total world population as characters.

Gave new meaning to "overacted".

Kind of struck me as "Boys Life (British magazine) Meets
that great OCD landscaping series..."Lawn Order".

My guess, give it 3-4 episodes before it fades quietly away.

The pilot seemed very unfocused, hopefully that will be fixed in later episodes, well providing there are later episodes.
Although, if it keeps up I think something like Law & Order: Brooklyn may be a better idea for a spinoff.
______________

I wasn't too impressed by it.. In fact, I got lost several times (of course, this was at the end of a day where I'd gotten up at 3am for work, so that may have been a factor)

Overall.. I think NBC was banking on the fact that this is from the guys who do Law & Order, but I don't seem to find this show as engaging as L&O. Hell.. Remember how L&O Trial By Jury failed? I sadly think this is headed right into the same arena as that one... (People like the crime dramas like L&O, CSI, L&O:SVU, etc, but I think these days people don't neccesarily like the lawyer shows... Like TBJ or the one that was on the WB this past fall)

The guy greenlighted it should be CONVICTED!

Don't hold back man, IT STUNK!
The poorley acted sex scene didn't help...
And this is a network show?
3 episodes? I'll be suprised if it makes it to next week!

The actual number probably depends on how many were bought, paid for, and are in the can. Of course there is the possibility that the available episodes could be retained and burned off when the regular season (is there a regular season these days, what with all the gaps?) ends.
______________

Add me to the list of people who think Law and Order is excellent, but Conviction should rest.
