Not One, But Two

Well the holiday season has begun offically. Both WNIC and 105.1 have flipped to a full time christmas format. So get ready to hear to hear xmas music EVERYWHERE. :(.

Anyone else find it strange that WMGC flipped to christmas already. They haven't flipped to xmas music in november few years since like 2006 I think. Last year they waited till' December and just threw in a few x-mas tune here in there.

I find it strange and very annoying. I'm not ready to listen to any Christmas music until usually sometime after Thanskgiving - usually not until early December.

Yeah - in previous years, it was only 100.3 that was doing the 24/7 Christmas music rotation. I remember a few years ago (back in '05 or '06) that 105.1 was doing a campaign to the effect of "Not quite ready for Christmas music yet? Stay tuned to 105.1 for your good-time soft rock favorites". They were kinda making fun of 100.3 for starting the Christmas music too early. Now all they're doing is trying to compete with 100.3.

It's really unfortunate, because AC listeners don't have any other option but Christmas music now. (I'm not talking about the Hot AC format that 96.3 plays.)
