Not sure if this should be in Sales or Promotions

I have a car dealership that wants to be the presenting sponsor of high school sports. They want to present a "Player of the Game" award after each game. First idea was to have the radio station provide gift certificates to local restaurants as the award, but it seems that the MIAA won't allow gifts of any monetary value. Any ideas of what we should present the winners with? T-shirts? Plaques? I'd like to create some excitement with this award, so any creative suggestions would be appreciated. TIA.

Give them a nice plaque (trade it with your local trophy maker). But, here in Iowa, the plaque must remain in the school trophy case until after the kid graduates.

Might want to consider doing a short interview with the winner each week, maybe a short statement, that'll get ma's and grandma's and aunts and uncles checking out the station and lends a little more status to the winner as well as the plaque. Could help build cume.

Let's look and see what we have...
1) Sponsorship from Car Dealership=$$$$
2) Plaque for school with students name
3) A little bit of Cume from family and friends listening to hear the winners statement.
But...what about adding a T-shirt? These could be traded out! On the front have your logo and Player of the Game" and on the back the Car dealerships logo and printer. Or build the price of the package to include them. This way the student has something to wear to show off their accomplishment, plus they are a walking advertiment for your station, the Dealership, etc...
