Not that I am intent on blowing up Rock 103, but...

I've stated my stand on Rock 103 many times in the past, so I won't re-hash that. But -- the more I think about an FM talker, the more I kind of like it. As one of the few I guess that does NOT have satelite radio, it would give a viable option for when I'm just sick and tired of hearing Kid Rock rip off others work.
 
103 beat max in last book. end of story. the rock will stay. more lynrd skynrd.
 
Rock 103 lost me because of the playlist, plain and simple. I mainly listen to satellite radio now. I want to listen to 103, but it is unlistenable. Improve the playlist and I will give it another chance. It is that simple. Right now they can change formats and I could care less.
 
I was running a little fever last week and thought I was seeing things but today I'm still seeing them! TWO of you agreed that Spencer was not Satan incarnate at 103, making it his sole ambition to run the station as deep into hell as possible..... And you're so very correct sjs1959 -- pretty much every rotten decision that Tim has had to carry out was with the symbolic gun to his head. On that black Friday he had to fire my dear friend Bev, Jar, Wes and so many others, I wept for him. Now I'm not making him out to be a saint, heck, he'll be the first to tell ya about his A-hole ways, but he loves his job when it's fun, when it's music, when it's DJ's goofing and when it's not being micro managed by Clear Channel down to how many potty breaks one gets and how many sheets of TP they can have per shift.

Not sayin' I nor any of us wouldn't take the money...just reminding any "angel-makers" that Mr. Spencer isn't exactly martyring himself in all this.
It can pay well to be the corporate "hatchet-man."
Remember Norm on Cheers? He'd take 'em to the bar...work up a good cry, and have them (the firee) feeling sorry for him (the firer) in no time.
Soon, though...people wolud hate to receive an invite to Cheers from ol' Norm.
Probably much akin to Spencer asking anyone these days to step into the office for a chat.
We can feel a bit for Tim having to get rid of his own close friends...but let's not forget that Tim's gettin'
PAID for this and all his work.

That's all I'm saying.
