Not The Governor

I was totally, totally wrong about being asked to run for Governor (Relax Arnold!) of California...it was Arizona. Cactus Jack Williams of KOY in Phoenix had been Governor of Arizona so a disc jockey Governor was not a strange concept. Plus, we're used to ideas, speaking, and thinking on our feet. So, a very big hitter who lived out on River Road in Tucson approached me thru my station manager and asked me to run for Arizona Governor (Democrat). I was flattered but never considered it. Too much great music! ("American Pie", "If Lovin' You is Wrong" etc.)
It's something to have someone with you for 5 decades (my wife...) who remembers every little thing! (We celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary March 7th. ... 42nd!!) I can't get away with a thing. -John-
