After receiving a couple of "report post to moderator" e-mails about the thread on Fox News Channel's coverage of the London Underground incident, I have deleted the thread in its entirety.

The reason I did so is that the thread lacked objectivity and quickly turned into a discussion about politics.

If you want to talk politics, go to the Off The Air board. If I find a new thread which discusses FNC's politics, I will start forwarding names to the owners. (Guess what happens after that.)

Thank you for your cooperation.

Half of the posts in here aren't objective - they are subjective. I agree at least one reply went crazy, but the quality of the coverage is still an honest topic. If you can, zing the messages that go too far and/or, if possible, move it to a different forum instead of just disappearing it.

Questioning moderator actions violates Radio-Info rules.

In my opinion, the entire thread was out of hand. Thus I made a decision, and you have to live with it.

I do not like getting multiple e-mails about a single thread.

I probably shouldn't have replied to it. Some of it is probably my fault. I'm not sure what happened after my last post in that thread but still. I had no interest in discussing politics.

I didn't see the postings and I am a fan of Fox News but, FNC's coverage of the London bombings was mostly them showing their sister network SkyNews from London.

Dude, calm down and quit flexing your muscles. The poster wasn't questioning your actions, simply offering a comment and possible suggestion. The fact you even thought this person was questioning you shows you're still all bent up. Smile! :)

Maybe you were still riled up when you responded, but maybe next time, take a few deep breaths before biting the head off of someone.

I'm sure we will. No need for drama.

Perhaps the original poster should have done likewise before responding to my reply. (He also should have refrained from sending me an e-mail saying he would "pray for me" because of my actions.)

Yeah, I would say that is just too extreme. ;)

OK... *I* was the original poster of the Fox News Channel coverage of the London situation. I was irritated with the low quality coverage of the domestic side and felt the Skynews feed was far superior. I provided an example of one of the silly statements one of the domestic Fox anchors said as well.

As I am an atheist, I can assure you I never sent an e-mail to you saying I would "pray for you." If you still have that message, could you check it once again. I did post a message asking what happened to the original thread, and at that same moment your moderator message went up which answered that question. I did send you an e-mail thanking you for the explanation and letting you know my inquiry and your posting of this thread occured at the same time.

One of the replies to that thread, which is what I had assumed got it reported, was plastered with "LIBERAL" all over it and other tiradia. My reply earlier in this thread inquired if it was possible to simply delete particular replies that were naughty as opposed to the entire thread.

I was going to let this go until I saw the "pray for me" bit. I don't want any reputation for being all Biblical and stuff. :)

I'd agree. Read my reply today setting the record straight on this point.

I got exactly one e-mail on the subject. Apparently the one I got wasn't yours, but the syntax led me to believe it was.

I don't keep e-mails like that around, nor do I bother replying to them.

Since there is no way to prove anything, I'll take your above statement as genuine and close the matter. Whoever did send the e-mail needs to get over it, though.
