Nov PPM rankings

The stations with the highest time spent listening - three of the five don't even broadcast in English. WGST is also in the top 10 in this ranking, the first time the station has seen a top 10 ranking of any kind with a positive nature in years.

WGST is next-to-last 12+ in mornings with Randy Cook. 106.7 is dead last with Don Imus. Citadel needs to wake up and get Spiff and Fred to mornings ASAP. People will see that Imus is last, and take their advertising money elsewhere. So...Citadels plan will backfire if it has not yet.

Right above WGST is Mayhem in the AM on the Zone. The Fan is five spots ahead of them.

And even the older crowd like Bert Weiss and Company. And the younger crowd is digging Scott Slade.

WSB-AM is #1 again thanks to the election.

I wonder if access to the demos will become more restricted again once the "currency", or real sellable numbers take effect. Having all of this information is really nice.

My Christmas wish is for Rock 100.5 to revisit their playlist. Not my cup of tea. I only listen to the morning show.

I'm sure Citadel is well aware of Imus' ratings in Atlanta. But there's a lot more money to be made for Citadel by selling Imus nationally than there is by selling morning drive on 106.7 in Atlanta. When network radio buyers are deciding where to put their clients' money, they're looking for shows that have an affiliate in all of the top 10 markets.

Interesting what some of those numbers show....

-First off, it looks like Star 94 gambled and is losing with TMM as S&V seem to have kept their numbers when they left to continue at B98.5.

-Under men, both 18-34 and 25-54, I would have expected the sports stations to be higher.

-Q100 and WSB-AM are possibly sharing listeners? Who controls the radio in the car?

-What is the current hispanic population of North Georgia? The numbers make me think I am living in south Florida again.

When the Morning Mess is being beaten by NPR, there is reason to be concerned!

I have morning and overall PPM numbers with various demo breakdowns on the radio/tv blog:

http://www.accessatlanta.com/blogs/...iotalk/entries/2008/12/06/126_more_radio.html

Stations who are stronger under PPMs: Kiss, Q100, Viva, El Patron

Stations doing somewhat worse: Star 94, The River, Rock 100.5, The Bull

Just wait until you see December when over 30,000 Atlanta Residents travelled to NYC to listen to Urban WBLS (and only WBLS). Out of all the Radio Stations in NYC, 30,000+ Atlanta Residents listened to ONLY WBLS in NYC (And who would have thought 30,000+ Atlanta Residents would travel to NYC for Thanksgiving?).

That certainly inspires confidence, does it not?
