November 2010 PPM's

The Beat can't even touch KISS 95.1 in the ratings. CBS owns the Charlotte market with Country, CHR, Urban, and Urban AC. Only format CBS and CC tend to stay neck and neck with is AC which currently K 104.7 is doing better with.

96.1 should go back to classic hits

What's going to happen to 105.3? 106.1 and 102.3 are getting better ratings with weaker signals.

All three are probably within the margin of error. The question is do we need 3?

The answer is NO, someone other than WBT's simulcast on FM should move to Talk, could make things interesting!

In a talk contest I think WBT would win based on the reputation of their news department. A talk station needs more than just talk, a good news department is critical to success.

How much in NOW getting leasing the frequency? When does it expire?

That signal is actually quite decent.

CBS has better ratings, but potential for success is there with 'Cumes often much closer than the ratings. It's obvious people are flipping alot and one tweak could really change things. For example, Country WSOC has a higher Average Quarter Hour, but less 'Cume than CC Country WKKT.

As for the Beat, it's two month decline is far steaper in Quarter Hour than 'Cume - it'll be interesting to see how they right the ship, as it is now, they're back to last winter's numbers, as if the summer's surge didn't happen.
