Any thoughts or observations?

No improvement for KITS.
Man, I was anticipating for a "worst to first" moment. The fact that KISQ (or even KOIT) cannot play songs like Jack And Diane, You Shook Me All Night Long, Pour Some Sugar On Me, I Love Rock and Roll, and Carry On Wayward Son should give Dave an opening. Especially when KISQ (and even more uptempo KOIT) would rather play freakin' Lionel Richie records and some 80s/90s sappy love songs no one cares about anymore.

(a) survey period ended Nov 10th, so any movement for "Dave"/KITS won't show up until next month
(b) pretty sure "iHeart '80s+" plays the sort of songs you mentioned.

If those songs had massive power, KFRC would still be a thing.

Do people really want to this listen to this stuff? Heard all those songs hundreds of times back in the day...and don't really need to hear them again. Feels like up tempo music for the dentist office.

Tons of AC and Classic Hits across the country get high ratings by playing these songs, as they are among the best tested hits. But San Francisco seems to like love songs a lot more, for some reason. I mean it's nice that lost 80s songs are given a chance again, but it's kind of a wide chasm in contrast to other markets. Even 80s+ isn't as heavy on these songs as other Classic Hits stations.

Keep in mind that stations in the larger markets do music research to find out which songs should be played and how often they should repeat. They ask actual listeners to score songs on "how much you'd like to hear that song on the radio today".

Songs you don't hear are likely ones that get negative results.

How did KYLD rank in the teen, 18-34, 18-49, and the 25-54 year old demos?
