November Radio Ratings

MeTV FM is beating all the 50 kW AM stations in Chicago. WBBM is no longer 50 kW, and its ratings are combined with WCFS.

Impressive, but I'm even more impressed with WBEZ. Although it's true that their book may be an election-related runoff.

As for WRME, I can't get a hiss-free signal on any of my radios. My car radio also doesn't tune 87.7 correctly. Bottom line is I haven't listened lately (although I sometimes listen to the radio dot com stream). I'm wondering if WRME has dropped the obscure album cuts. Just me, but I thought those might be a drag on their numbers.

I just hear WJMK 1250 regularly, and the 99.3 translator when I'm close, and they were playing obscure tracks, but if they were album cuts, they were those 41-100 Hot 100 ones, but maybe they played the longer album version.

They were playing those Chicago Garage Band tracks from the 1960s, like the NC6 and the Cryan' Shames, etc., but those did get airplay in Michigan. I liked those, but you don't hear many Michigan Garage Band tracks that were big here.

WJMK 1250 and their translator seem to have a very low modulation level though.

WRME-LP is actually 87.75.

Same thing here, I can't get a hiss free signal on any of my radios.

Ha, they finally moved to the new software that every other forum I'm on, has adopted...

Anyway, I was shocked when I brought my radio, with antenna in to work (Glendale Heights), and I could get 87.7, but struggle with WLS, Kiss-FM, or some of the other big Chicago stations... So I am sitting here listening to it now.

Anyway, does anyone have what K-Hits was before they changed? It looks like that format is slipping book after book. If consistently lower than K-Hits was, I hope Entercom gets the message that they made a stupid mistake. Yea, still a little salty over that one...

Another thing, WLIT has been playing Christmas music since around July (I'm kidding), it doesn't seem to have helped it much...

Are people just getting exhausted of the same old Christmas over and over and over...

I know I haven't tuned in to it at all yet this season.
