November Sweep Ratings

I was looking over the hour-by-hour and I noticed WSB didn't win any daytime soap timeslots. CBS soaps have always been strong in the south and still remains true.

Here a link for November Sweeps ratings, and my favorite station WSB-TV won, but I was surprise WXIA is #3 in the evening. WXIA does put out a great product, but WGCL is creeping up on WXIA at 11pm.

Could it be because CBS is ahead of NBC in prime time? The same thing's been
happening in Birmingham, where CBS affiliate WIAT/42 has been creeping up on,
and even beating, WVTM/13 (NBC) in some time slots.

And to the poster who noted the CBS soaps beating the ABC ones in Atlanta:
it's true that CBS does better in the South (they pretty much dominate here
in North Carolina), and is perhaps one reason CBS's Southern affiliates have
resisted moving Guiding Light to 10 AM (I don't consider Orlando and Miami,
where GL does air in the morning, as "southern" markets).

I think the judge shows on WAGA may be #1, I would love to see the numbers to find out.

There is no way WGCL is #1 outside of a Fred Powers electrocution or Super Bowl. CBS has to be appaled. Don't be surprised if they approach WSB-TV with a huge offer that includes sweetheart preemption terms when it is time for deal renegotiations (although I am sure WSB will refuse, as CBS News is #3, and ABC News is #1).
