Now That Citiadel has Real Country 96.3 The Cowboy we Now Have Two top 40 country station (KRST & Big I)
One in The Middle (KAGM) One Classic Country (104.7) and Now 96.3 .....What are your thoughts..... Obviously 96.3 & 104.7 will take more from KAGM Than KRST or Big I. I Like 96.3 over 104.7....Thoughts on how the Country stations will do now?????

To me we need someone to go after Magic 99 Or 102.5 who would have thunk we would have more country stations than Nashville

I personally don't get it either...5?! 5 country stations? Someone tell me how this will benefit ANY of the country stations. Country music fans must be jumping for joy. However, that ratings and revenue pie has now been cut into so many pieces that no station will benefit, in my opinion. Maybe someone needs to have a meeting and get out of the country music battle...it's gonna get ugly.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Haven’t we (Albuq market) had this battle before?
???

WOW! Just had to chuckle when I read this thread about 5 Country stations in the Duke City! Geez, I remember
the days of pumpin' out those country hits with 250 watts of maximum music power from the 1450-KRZY stick
on that bedrock tower site next to the infamous round studio building on Quincy ;D We were the only country
station at the time...at night we were lucky to be heard from Juan Tabo & Central to Coors and Central (east-west)
and Rio Bravo Blvd and Paseo del Norte (south-north). As long as we could be heard in the parking lots of
the "Caravan East" and "The Hitchin' Post" that was just fine for the sales guys :D If someone back then had suggested
5 stations with the country format, and that all of them suckers would be FM's, the round building booted dudes would have asked
"what planet are ya from there good buddy?"
