NOW CANNOT HEAR TRUE OLDIES IN MORRISTOWN

Very curious....

Used to hear True Oldies in Morristown even though it was marginal.
Now 98.5 WTFM bleeds over on the top of them. Looked on Radio-Locator.com
and saw no power or tower location changes. Anybody know what's up?

1) Not enough engineers on duty to be able to keep the transmitters from drifting off frequency.

2) No one on duty at station.

3) No one listening to station.

4) See #1

Really now? I guess that fact that the transmitter is monitored by a remote control system that pages the Chief Engineer 24/7, and reports that the transmitter is at 100 percent power, or that the silence sensor is normal, is immaterial. There is no chance that the listening receiver has degraded, lost sensitivity/selectivity, or that something in the area could be raising the noise floor. Or, multiple reports of the same incident from multiple locations. No, nothing like that at all. Lets blame it on the engineer or the facility.

I know is “impossible” but at times FM will “skip” a little at certain temperatures. If there is any spurious stuff from the transmitter it will skid better (Murphy’s Law). Two other possibilities: Your receiver or something physical: lack of vegetation, hill top got flattened; new metal building and or roof in the exact location (see Murphy’s Law). Wait till summer, or try another receiver and or different location.
