So who will fill out the rest of the airstaff. I assume Axl doing afternoons. Matt C and Louis doing nights still? Skewing towards that younger night demo.

Who will do mid-days? Hopefully they do it right and someone good for mid-days also to compete with Mara and take the place of Steve's strong show.

Will they make us wait a couple of weeks for other personalities? Lame if they do.

Why fill in on-air slots with old 99x people? Boring! And... it's not going to keep the old 99x faithful.

Although... GREAT move putting the RG's on-air a week before Zakk Tyler's show debuts.

Matt C and Lewis fit. Dekker not so much. Maybe Matt C and Lewis were given the nod last year with 100.5 in mind?
 
If you want to continue the latter days of of 96 Rock and Regular Guys 1.0 the there is only one choice for mid-days, Tim Rhodes. I always liked Tim and he deserves to be on the airwaves here.
 
Rhodes is kickin' it in Athens on Bulldog 103.7. He would be great to have back in Atlanta! Kaedy Kiley is unfortunately mired at Steak's place at 790 The Zone. The Zone is completely unlistenable these days. Poor move switching Mike Bell to afternoons.
 
Kaedy Kiely would be another excellent choice. Add a female perspective to the station. I don't think her job at 790 would hold her back if offered the opportunity. Mara and Kaedy our friends. Would make for an interesting match-up.
 
Axel and Matt C. & Lewis are still listed at 99X.com. There is no sign of Matt Jones anywhere on 99X.com
 
I spoke with Gary Lewis. No official PD. Rob Roberts will cover. Also, a new mid-day person will come in a couple of weeks from out of market, according to John Dickey. Axel will continue doing afternoons and Matt C & Lewis will do nights.
 
Axl has hit the air and called himself the cockroach of Atlanta Afternoon Radio. I would nominate Steve Rickman the all time cockroach of Atlanta Radio currently on the air. First with Rude, then board op John Boy and Billy, Then the Reg Guys then with Rhodes on Afternoons. Then was making headway to returning to RG 2.0 when that blew-up. Then Eagle with some bizarre split Shift with Rhubarb. Now back with the RG's.

Axl says he is pumped.
 
Hiring Kaedy would be a no-brainer. Instant music credability in that format. No offense to the holdover staff, but she would run circles around them.
 
Axel is awful. Give me Rhodes----easily better than 90% of the jocks working right now. Pair him up with someone brighter than SSS and you'd have a monster.
 
Kaedy is sweet and has a great voice, but she really isn't particularly bright or witty at all. Not that that necessarily matters or anything.

There's a jock on Sirius named Robyn Lane who sounds very much like Keady and at first i thought it was her but it didn't make sense to me that a jock would change their name this far into their career.
