now here's a throwback, Aaron Carter?

Did he ever make it onto mainstream CHR radio? I just pulled out a CD of his I got when I was like 8 because at the time I really liket him, though I never had posters or anything of him, and oddly my radio was never set to Radio Disney. I actually like this stuff more now than before. Did he actually recieve airplay on mainstream CHR radio back then or was it just Radio Disney that had his songs in extremely high rotation? I remember counting one day how many times they played one of his songs and I think it totaled 8 or 9 in an 8 hour period! That's about as high as, or even higher than most powers today! I think KQMV spins their powers about 10 times in an 11 hour period.

KKWD in Oklahoma City played him for a short while back in fall 2000. That station before it was converted to a Jan Jeffries clone used to play tons of viral songs that most CHRs wouldn't play.

Lol I can't believe you spent all day counting Aaron Carter songs on the radio

He had one song peak at #49, and that's it

Do you remember what song that was? It wasn't like I spent all day just sitting in front of the radio, I actually had at least one thing to do that day. Wow, that was so long ago!

Hmm that's not the one I remember Disney having in power, though they probably did after I stopped listening to them. Speaking of Disney, are they listed anywhere in Mediabase? Is their playlist anywhere to be found on the web? See my other thread for more details on what I'm looking for there.

Radio Disney has a Top 30 playlist on their website - I don't think they've ever been monitored by Mediabase, since their target is kids under 18, and their audience is so small - I can't even remember a Radio Disney station showing up in Arbitron

If you're on AllAccess.com, search the charts for a station name KDIS-AM. That's Radio Disney LA. It'll give you the top 50.

Butlerguy03, can I get the playlist via that method? The only way I know for sure what the song in question would be is if I had the playlist handy back to Wednesday just after noon.

Yeah, they've stopped subscribing in most of their markets. Crazy enough, their outlet in Indianapolis gets a 1.4 6+, which is a juggernaut for Radio Disney. I think the am factor may also be why they're not in mediabase, as they often don't count translators, AMs, and LPFMs.
