There's really no reason why they can't play some currents as well as oldies like KTU in New York.

I thought they were all about being THE Oldies Station? How, and why, would you add currents to that?<P ID="signature">______________

Well, Mega is Rhythmic Oldies. When KKYZ does their move-in, they will be the oldies station on FM. Supposedly, Mega's playlist is set in stone a year in advance. How predictable. I wonder if they'll lose any of their audience when KKYZ comes to town? Would it kill Mega to add some currents along with their "oldies"? I have to believe that some people who listened to the songs that Mega plays from the 80's, wouldn't mind some of the newer dance/rhythmic stuff that doesn't get airplay (Deepdish). I don't see why they couldn't throw in more freestyle music from the 80's as well.

I think they are adding newer music lately? It is not all 60 and 70's anymore.
