Overall Jack is doing well. On the other hand, Digital would probably benefit from it but my understanding is that BMP doesn't believe in the Hurban format.

Apparently Univision felt it was enough of a threat to The Beat for La Kalle to be pulled off the FM dial.

Anyways, it was good to hear Reaggeton back on this evening on Digital 104.1. Perhaps, BMP is having second thoughts about it.

Univision has no Hurban stations at all... and the fact is that it made no sense to keep a separate format on a rimshot station.

The reggaeton being played today is crossover material on pop based Spanish CHR stations, not a full Hurban format. Like CHR in the general market, this is a case of CHR absorbing or covering many genres to make a hit based format.

Yes the HURBAN format has evolved into more of Spanish CHR format playing the hits from all the genres like Bachata, Reggaeton, Pop En Espanol etc. You just have to tailor the station to your market. Here in SA, Bachata y Spanish Pop is huge with Hispanic females 12-24 as you can tell from the playlist from Digital.
