Now, I've heard everything. WGSO is on the air advertising for talk personalities. Really!! They let a couple...well, at least one...fair talk show host (Ed Clancy) go and they seem oblivious to a few sydicated talk hosts who are better than those they have. What do you bet they plan to charge the hosts an advertising fee rather than pay them? ;D

Goldear - Don't need to bet anything, they are charging. For $1000 a month you can have your own Afternoon Drive Show for one hour a week on WGSO, but hey, you can buy time on WIST or any of a number of other AMs too.
Of course, it doesn't matter that the shows sound like crap, nobody's listening. They've been advertising for months and you're the first post on this board of radio savvy people.
As long as you're paying, you can get on WGSO, WIST, or whereever. You want to do an hour after Kaare on WIST (what a lead-in), just sign here. You want to do 2 hours before Eric on WIST or a Saturday show, just sign here. Now WGSO has thrown their hat in the ring selling daily hours. The stations need money and they are not getting it from advertisers.
Even the legendary WWL has cut their rates significantly. Gone are the days when WWL could command top dollar. That's radio today. Thank God for IPODs and satellite.

V-man, I'm sure I speak for many who would pay to hear you but, you'll have to keep paying us to listen to you and Robin. C&W is brutal, V&W isn't much better.

Holy Cow ! What a response ! Happy ( but sad for the listeners and the posters here ) that our phone lines have been jammed and we SOLD OUT all items and all winners have been selected ! WOW !
