Now New York City Doesn't Even Have Country on HD2

Though New York has not had a regular country station in a long time, at least it was available for several years with an HD radio. It was on the HD2 channel of WLTW. I bought an HD radio mainly to listen to it. It rebroadcast Clear Channel's Country Road, which was not bad.
As of today, country was booted off WLTW HD2.
Now the situation for country fans is even worse than in San Francisco, the other major city without a country station. At least there, a number of suburban country stations can be heard throughout most of the city. Most parts of New York cannot receive even an out of town country station.
Ironically WKMK, one of the nearest suburban country stations, is rated #2 in its market among music stations.

fortunately, in this day and age, you can get several half way decent country channels on XM/SR for 13.00 per month.

of course you have to put up with their *skitzoid music programming. but thats what buttons are for..
