...I would guess the non-compete is null and void, right? So CC could bring in a new rock format if they wanted to?
I know this may be controversial, but how about CC flipping WRNO from classic rock to new rock?
It makes sense to me for 3 good reasons:
1) There's a void for 18-34 men now, and Citadel obviously can't fill that with "Rockin' Country" crapola.
2) The current staff on the station is better associated with new rock. Rod and Spinnato were at 106.7, and Kat used to be on the old 94.9 Extreme Radio. Plus, they could probably get some of the 106.7 staff to add-on, if needed.
3) Don Gosselin (the OM) was a major force behind the early success of Rock 93.7 in Baton Rouge. After he left, Rock didn't rock so much, and we ended up with Red.
Of course, Jace said I was off base with my predictions, and I'll say that he was right. However, I think I still have more sense than Dave Seibert and Citadel corporate.<P ID="signature">______________
