Now that Tom-FM is here...........

how do ya'll like the new station and how do you think it will do? My personal opinions are that I like the new station, I like the music that they play and if its left alone, it'll be a force in the Little Rock market.

I like the song choice for the most part, but it's really all over the place a bit too much for me. I get into a groove for a couple of songs and then it goes off into something totally different. I like a mix but there's no flow that I can grab onto.

As far as its survival, I'm not holding my breath. This all seems like the kind of thing a broadcaster corp will do when they have nothing to lose since they're gonna sell it off anyway. I'd like to see how it changes between now and a year from now, but that's a long time for shareholders to wonder what's happening with their money, y'know?

Tuned in for the first time driving tonight. Just heard G-n-R's "Sweet Child 'O Mine" followed by "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" by Chicago. Didn't take me by surprise so much as it made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

I actually sort of like both songs, just not back-to-back. Kinda like tuna chased with chocolate. I should probably listen for more than one segue before passing judgement.

If it starts playing the Wiggles, I'm going to check my speaker wires to make sure it's not hooked up to my iTunes on shuffle at home. We get quite the weird mix at our house, too.
