Now what?

According to Inside Radio, Entercom is out of the bidding for Susquehanna. So, what does that mean for Indy radio? A new group owner will be coming to town.

The current management group is still in play according to the story.

Hello Cumulus!...If that small market owner ends up winning the bidding, you'll see a lot of great people looking to leave the new company.

Also in related news, it looks like it is down to Emmis and Entercom for the ABC stations. What would that mean?

Even though Indy has just one ABC station, how will Emmis or Entercom be affected by owning some of the legendary stations out there like WLS and would that change how they run their stations in Indy?

Has anyone worked for Cumulus? What kind of company are they?

I worked for Cumulus for about three months last year. It was a really miserable experience. However, in all fairness to Cumulus, it was more due to local management, which was a holdover from the old owners, than anything else. Cumulus has its good and bad points. All things being equal, I would work for Cumulus again. However, the giant cloud definitely seems to resemble a tornado at times. It levels some properties while leaving some intact but seldomly leaves anything quite the way it found it.
