NPR Files For Streaming-Royalty Rehearing-Great news!

Now here's what will happen...NPR will cut a deal that works for THEM. The rest of us will get the bat up our noses. The idea, clearly, is to destroy internet broadcasting.

You may be right, NPR may cut their own deal. Wouldn't you if you were them? God bless 'em for fightin' the good fight! I wish us ALL well (all of us who see the internet as an exciting place for radio programming!)

In addition to NPR the Evil Empire, Clear Channel, has jumped into the fight. Since their station's webstreams, which are rapidly growing with listeners, would also be at risk it stands to reason that CC should become involved.

Then we have this cluster of Chicago stations that has decided to ban the giving away of CD's as a way of protesting the RIAA and their involvement with the CRB decision.
