Why are NPR stations so boring? It just seems delivery, programming are all slow and stoggy. Why can't they pick up their delivery and add better music elements and imaging? It really drives me crazy when I have to listen to NPR the snooty network?
 
Compared to, say, CNN, NPR is relaxing.

I would guess they are trying to keep the classical audience through the N/T programming.

NPR = National Peoples Radio (in the leftist sense of the word "peoples".)

Boring? NPR is anything but boring...just look at how loyal the NPR audience is. Like the people who work for NPR - the listeners are passionate.
 
I just think they are better ways to program NPR Stations, I've heard well programmed stations and I've heard some rather losy ones too. It demends upon the resources...
 
yeah they are all tree hugging wack jobs? However they are passionate, but don't make a penny and don't spend it, good think its free.

And many of them can spell and punctuate correctly, and even write grammatically correct sentences!
 
NPR is a waste of time. What does NPR stations do for the community? All I ever hear is bush bashing. Public funding for NPR needs to come to an end. They need to sell advertising like all the other broadcasters in this country. Then we'd see the true face of boring NPR! Its a big steaming pile of shit.
 
It's funny, everyone always make fun of NPR, but we are always winning awards, and laughing at you commercial guys that have to pander and bend over backwards to support your advertisers. We don't worry about advertising, or ratings. Just a good quality product.
