NRG Media to reopen offices

Since mid-March, NRG Media Omaha air personalities have been working remotely or in separate studios. No studio was occupied with more than one air personality at any given time in an effort to keep everyone safe. Now that some of the restrictions are being lifted, NRG Omaha is starting to bring back all air personalities and staffers, and they are using plexiglass and shower curtains to keep the air talent and entire staff safe.

Omaha’s News Talk leader News Talk 1290-KOIL has launched a daily two-hour program focusing on the local community as our friends, neighbors and businesses begin to face the new normal. The program will be live and local, and hosted by legendary broadcaster Neil Nelkin. Each day the two-hour program will focus on everything “local” in Omaha, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa as businesses start to re-open and figure out how to go forward.

The program will be co-hosted by other NRG Media on-air talent and biggest morning radio personalities on a daily basis. Nikki and Laura from Sweet 98.5, Mike’l Severe and Damon Benning from 1620 The Zone, and Matt Tompkins from the New 101.9 The Keg.

KOIL-AM will do special programming for reopening.
